Cierra Redding is a Gunnison-based visually impaired artist and Sculpture Professor at Western Colorado University. Redding (b. 1995, Wichita Falls, TX) is a graduated with her MFA at New Mexico State University and holds a BFA in Painting from Western Colorado University, but has been enthralled and active with art since childhood
Due to her college-based experimentation, redding currently works at the intersection of ceramic sculpture, but she has experience working with many other mediums including: drawing, painting, sculpture, casting, fiber, wearables, wood, and other various installation techniques.
Born with a rare chronic eye condition, called Nystagmus, she is left with the constant sensation that the world around her is shaking, giving her a unique but challenging visual experience.
